One of my best friends and old roommate, Emily, recently got engaged to the love of her life and I could not have been happier to receive the news! These two have been dating since they met in our fourth year at Queen’s University, and have been loving life together ever since.

This past weekend, all of our old housemates were finally in the same place at the same time {the last time was over three years ago at my wedding!}, so we headed up north to enjoy the most love-filled weekend at Emily’s parent’s cottage. It was the perfect weather for a photo shoot to kick off their engagement, especially since this was the location of Mike’s romantic proposal just a few weeks prior.

I am so happy for these two! You can clearly see the love between them and despite Mike’s initial hesitation in front of the camera, they are both complete naturals. I loved seeing their authentic selves shine through during our session as they enjoyed one another’s company in one of their favourite places in the world.

Emily and Mike will be tying the knot next fall in a gorgeous, laid back and outdoorsy camp setting; the perfect place for this nature-loving couple.
