Meet Jody and her sweet daughters, Sawyer and Esther! These girls were some of our very first friends when we moved to town back in February, and our weekly playdates were such a blessing in helping us feel like we were at home in a new and unfamiliar place.

Watching Jody selflessly love on her girls over the past few months has been such an inspiration to me as a mother. These two are so lucky to have such a wonderful mama, and Emilie and I are lucky to have met them! Being a parent is anything but easy, but having amazing mamas to surround yourself with certainly makes a world of difference.

All day leading up to our session, Sawyer was so excited knowing that I was going to be taking photos of her. But as soon as we got started, she immediately played shy. So, I let her spend some time with daddy while I captured Esther {always willing to flash her gorgeous smile!} and mama so that Sawyer could see that it wasn’t so scary. Slowly but surely, she warmed up and eventually she was a complete natural in front of the camera. I feel like these photos capture both girls perfectly; Esther, the smily, mischievous one, and Sawyer, the thoughtful, shy one.
