Packing your hospital bag for your newborn’s arrival can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.
I recommend starting early – sometime in your second trimester when you still have energy and can slowly set aside items that you won’t need until after baby’s arrival.
At the very latest, I recommend having your bag packed by 35 weeks to ensure that it’s ready to go in case of a surprise early arrival. After all, babies tend to arrive on their own timeline!
This Cold Lake family session was intended to take place only a few weeks after baby Cohen’s birth, but with Covid-19 hitting just as we were scheduled for our in-home session, we decided to postpone until it was safe to shoot outdoors and from a distance. This mama is a close friend of mine, and […]
I have been photographing this beautiful mama and daughter since Amélie was just two weeks old, and each time it’s so much fun getting to see how much she’s grown! This St. Albert motherhood session was so special – it was documented in celebration of Amélie’s first birthday, which truly is, in large part, a […]
Every once in a while, I get to photograph a family who instantly feel like close friends. From the moment I spoke with Izzy on the phone, to finally meeting her and her sweet family in person, I knew these were my kinda people. They truly made my job so easy, from agreeing to wake […]
This outdoor Cold Lake newborn session was originally planned to be a Fresh 48 session, but given the current pandemic and hospital restrictions that have come along with it, we knew pretty early on that this wasn’t going to be possible. Fortunately, this sweet husband and wife pair were so easygoing, and were truly just […]
Everything about this session was so dreamy – from the beautiful family in the most perfect fall wardrobe, to the sweet baby girl (and her cheeky smiles that she made me seriously work for!), to the gorgeous, nature-filled location. My time with these three was so fun and relaxed, despite it being just a little […]
I’ve never been in a home so infused with Jillian Harris touches as this one. Every detail, down to the pastel-coloured tea towels or fresh cut flowers on display, breathes life into their home and helps capture the joy of being in your favourite place, surrounded by your favourite people in the world. Jen is […]
I can’t quite think of a better morning than one spent photographing a sweet mama and her babe in a gorgeous studio! Little Mila was having the time of her life, snuggling up on mama, exploring, eating the occasional cheerio and smiling big, beautiful smiles for the camera. Seriously, this St. Albert motherhood session was […]
When I first met this sweet family for their maternity session, I instantly felt like I was spending time with old friends. So when baby Olivia finally arrived, it was such a treat getting to spend the morning with them again, but this time, in their home for their newborn session! Their calm, relaxed nature […]
While home for my best friend’s wedding, I also had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie pie – who happens to be my best friend’s nephew! The Hartman family welcomed their first {human} son into the world just a few days before his auntie’s wedding day, so there was so much to celebrate for […]
I always feel extra lucky when I get to catch up with sweet friends and photograph them, all at once! Ryan and Ami had Liam just a month after we moved away from Cold Lake, so I didn’t get to meet this little cutie until just last month! He has the sweetest, most calm demeanour […]
