What does at home baby photography look like?
Each newborn session is unique – because each family and baby is unique. That said, I have a workflow that I love to aim to work through for each session, to ensure that every important moment is captured for you. This flow will look different depending on the space we’re working in, the number of siblings and how content baby is. But generally speaking, here are a few of the must-have shots that I aim to capture at each and every newborn session.
- Baby snuggled on the bed
- Mom snuggling baby – usually laying in bed, or across mom’s chest
- Dad holding baby’s tiny head in his hands. You can really see how tiny they are!
- Candid interactions
- Posed family shots, usually laying on the bed
- Mom, dad and baby together
- Baby and siblings
- Baby’s hands and toes – because you’ll one day forget just how little they were
