I feel as though a baby’s first birthday is just as much for the parents as it is for the baby. A celebration of surviving the first 365 days of a new life; not only the one that you brought into the world, but also your new life as a mother or father. Celebrating the hard moments, along with the blissfully beautiful ones, knowing that you’ve grown and changed in ways that you couldn’t have possibly imagined before entering this new life.
To celebrate Harper’s first year of life, as well as Alicia’s first year as a mother, we did a very special motherhood session. We broke it up into two parts: one to capture the special bond between a mother and her daughter, and then a family session to honour their first year as a family of three.
