This outdoor Cold Lake newborn session was originally planned to be a Fresh 48 session, but given the current pandemic and hospital restrictions that have come along with it, we knew pretty early on that this wasn’t going to be possible. Fortunately, this sweet husband and wife pair were so easygoing, and were truly just happy to have their moments documented, however that may look.
With baby Brooke being born in late June, we knew that it was the perfect time for a gorgeous outdoor session, so we decided to change things up a bit and go for it! And boy, am I happy that we did. While in-home newborn sessions are so special, I have a newfound love for capturing babies outdoors in the summer. Maybe it’s the beautiful family, or the gorgeous location, or that dreamy morning light, but whatever it is, this film + digital session has my heart.
The best part about this session was that Brooke literally slept like a rock throughout the entire thing! Mom even tried to wake her so that we could get just one photo of her beautiful eyes, but baby girl was just too cozy in her mom and dad’s arms. What a sweetheart! Harris family, thank-you for choosing me to document this magical time as you grow your family. I loved getting to spend my morning with you three!
